EvilEvilEvil
OMG...the whole concert thing is falling apart. Nathan's being evil. Spencer is being evil. Everyone's evil. EvilEvilEvil. Blah.
Lahdeedah...Physics exam is on Tuesday. Ew. I have to go study. Yuck. Ooo! And I'm now addicted to EvilEvilEvil
OMG...the whole concert thing is falling apart. Nathan's being evil. Spencer is being evil. Everyone's evil. EvilEvilEvil. Blah.
Lahdeedah...Physics exam is on Tuesday. Ew. I have to go study. Yuck. Ooo! And I'm now addicted to My Dream
Last night I had a dream...and it was indeed insane.

So first I was in a hotel that was full of midgets, which turned into an airport full of midgets. There was a midget in front of me with a shopping cart and a sign that said something about even though some things are invisible to midgets, they aren't hadicapped. Next to the sign was a blue detergent bottle full of ketchup, which implied that ketchup is one of the things invisible to midgets.
The I suddenly popped into a house full of Passions actors. Whitney was getting mad because someone had made a hole in the carpet and was steadily making it bigger and bigger, and was also tucking the carpet under the dishwasher. How evil of them! And Fox (shirtless, of course) was scared of her, so he was hiding (not very well) behind curtains and the like. Then somehow...I knew that Fox was wearing tighty whities. And so ends the dream. Interesting, no?

Yesterday, we met Gabriel, Paula's replacement (Paula v. 2.0...HA! I don't know why I found that so funny...). He is an exact replica of Ben Shaw's brother and very...cute. Not good looking, but a cute person. He had pink braces and continually referred to himself as "the best" and his face as "beautiful" and Markham as "his fans". He was funny. Very Québecois, though. Like, insanely so. But really, he was cool.
And, omigawsh, Hayward's just being mean now. Today, he told Darren that he should have been in PACE. And Darren replied, "Um...thank you." And Mr. Hayward corrected him, saying, "No no, that was an insult." And we're all *gape*. 'Twasn't cool. Meanie.
One week 'til I'm rocking it at Downsview!

Hubba hubba...
*drool*

Sunday, July 20, 2003-06:05 p.m.
Cuz now I'm stroooonger than yesterday...
I'm listening to Britney Spears - Stronger. Old school much. Anywho...
Yesterday was Andrew's birthday party. I gave him a hat (apparently) (and a carrot, which I found mean, but hey, it was all Michelle). It was a very pretty hat. One that I would not mind owning myself. But only after I cut my hair. But if I cut my hair...I have to deal with it every day...and that's just not fun. *returning from tangent* So the party was alright. I've discovered that the bowling gods smile upon me and knock down my pins for me, and yet I'm still pretty pathetic at bowling. It's kind of sad, actually. After the bowling, we went to Matt's house for dinner. We watched an And1 thingy, which was intensely cool, and ate sushi and watched Tears of the Sun, a movie that did not quite appeal to me. We also played basketball, which was fun, but made me feel giulty becase Andrew doesn't like basketball. Wow...Tim is my hero. His basketball skillz are so 1337! Sigh..anyways..it was fun...I worried most of the night...but I'm glad that I was invited and that I went.
I sold the Justified/Stripped tickets today. w00t!
Today, I also just stayed home. First I played around with eBay for a long time, trying to put the tickets up for auction, which ultimately didn't work. Then I just...did nothing. And I'm still in that phase, about to switch over to homework phase.
Slightly random, but...everyone, call me Lor from now on. Ya know what else is a cool nickname? G-funk. Hee hee...I stole that from Montreal-boy. Keep in mind, though, I'd still prefer to be called Lor.
And off to homeworking.

He will be my squishy.
Wow, dudes, I suck at this whole blog thing. Ah well. I doubt anyone reads this anyways! Okie doke...so lately...nothing has happened. Physics...I'm getting the highest mark in my class!! 94% bay-beeeeeeeee. Yiyea! And Jef- Mr. Cadieux actually had a conversation with me after the name incident. I really hope that he doesn't think what we think he thinks. Because I really think that that's...just wrong. Seriously. Teachers...other than Hoffman...are just...ew. Okay, anyway, that has been plaguing me.
Yesterday was Sam's (and Rissa's) birthday! And Dani and I brought her to Swiss Chalet and then we all found Nemo together. And now, weeeeeeeeeeee speeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaak Whhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaale. "I will call him Squishy and he will be mine and he will be my Squishy." So funnie.
Today is Andrew's birthday par-tay! I really hope that I'm not screwed for a present. Because that would not be cool.
OMG. IF YOU WANT JUSTIFIED/STRIPPED TICKETS, PLEASE BUY THEM FROM ME!!! PLEASE!!
That is all.

Monday, July 14, 2003-05:13 p.m.
A strange day...
Today was...a strange day. We laughed a lot but it also wasn't that great. Meh..whatever.
Darren backed out on buying Jessica's and my concert tickets! Bad Darren!! Anyone wanna see Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake?! Ya know you waaaaaannaaaa! =D
And Jessica, youre writing is flipping amazing, got it?! Seriously. No jokes. I wish I could write like that. And I'm sad for Sallie!
Alrighty, a-Physics-ing I go.

Saturday, July 12, 2003-11:00 a.m.
Meh...
Wow, so I don't really entry very often. There's nothing really to talk about. Meh...maybe I should write shorter entries more often. Hm...Physics is going okay. I have my midterm exam on Tuesday, nine days into the course. How crazy is that?! Very. And last night was Bion's birthday par-tay at the Mandarin! Crab legs like mad, and I had pretty hair! YAY! Alrighty, I'm obviously making no sense. I should go now...and talk to Emmy. And Chow!! Chinese name....

Sunday, June 22, 2003-01:14 p.m.
Salmonella Central
Holy moly...Korean BBQ.
So yesterday was Sallie's birthday party at Korean BBQ Restaurant. As the name implies, the restaurant served food of the Korean BBQ nature. It also breeds salmonella. I mean, Sallie, loved your birthday party, it was loads of fun, but my God, it's a wonder we're not all vomiting uncontrollably with our stomach linings in a bloody pile on the floor.
The restaurant consists of tables with gas-stove-element looking things in pits in the middle of the tables. The waiters brought you trays and trays of raw, bloody, fresh-out-of-the-cow meat, which you pile up on the grill thingy with your tongs. Actually, Arthur piles the meat up. Normal people spread the meat out on the grill so that it actually cooks. (Arthur's mutters of "Wow...that wasn't cooked..." were slightly unsettling.) Then you eat the meat and rice and tofu. When you're done, you burn napkins on the grill thingy. Correction. Arthur burns napkins on the grill thingy. Joan, Arthur, and I owned our grill. We shoved pieces of uneaten meat in between the metal and discovered that, if left unattended at the grill, lamb can turn very bacon-like. Everyone also kept a look-out for un-Asian people, so Andrew, Aky, and I wouldn't feel alone. =)
After our meal at Carnivores' Paradise, we hung around in the parking lot apparently waiting for nothing. We thought we had something to wait for, but we didn't. We threw a football around, played hackey sack...all while waiting for that thing that we weren't actually waiting for. Then Adeline realized that there was no point to the waiting and told people to come with her to Just Desserts. I heard her, and tried to get other people to come but no one listened, and soon, I even forgot my mission. Then she, in her short shorts and purse and cell phone and quasi-hooker-ish-looking-self in the dark on Highway 7, decided to walk there alone. So Joan, Dani, Katie, and I ran after her so she wouldn't get raped. Then we waited at Just Desserts until we got picked up. I got home at 2am. =)
Sallie, it was lots of fun!!! No matter how yucky I make it seem, it really was fun! ^_^
Et où est Emmy? Je veux parler avec elle!

Saturday, June 21, 2003-06:04 p.m.
Expendable
Wow! People actually read this thing!!! YAY!! Emmy, B, and Sally...you rock! A lot! Beatrice! I'm reading Expendable! So far, it's good! I'm also only on page 18, but hey, whatever.
Today, I did nothing for a good five hours, and then walked to the library with my mommy and depleted its Stephen King book supply. I decided to leave without The Stand and Desperation, though, figuring that I would get bored before finishing either of their ~700 pages. Besides, I have the new Harry Potter book to buy and read! YAY!! Mommy also just bought me a Harry Potter toothbrush. I think that toothbrush brought me more joy than is healthy for a normal sixteen-year-old girl. =)
Now, I've got some emailing to do. =) Emmy, watch out.

Friday, June 20, 2003-08:34 p.m.
:[
So Science exam was today. My God. How in nine hells did they expect us to finish 17 pages in an hour and a half?! And everyone who did finish, bite me, because I know you did it half-assedly. Grr. Blarg. Argh. Blah. :[
Anyways. It is my opinion that no one reads this. If you do, gimme a shout. Like...no one even signs my guestbook. *sad*
I am depressed about my very ugly HTML skills. Although, today, I did change my links and cursor. So ha.
I need a hug.

English notes
Here ya go peoples. If ya think of more, tell me!!

TKAM and Inherit the Wind

Common themes of integrity, courage, standing up for what you believe in, and keeping an open mind. Religion also prominent.

Common settings: the south, small town, summer (mainly), courthouse, early 1900s.

Brady/Ewell were antagonists and acted as foils.

Cates/Robinson went against society's norms in order to do what they thought was right.

Drummond/Atticus kept a very open mind and made sure that justice was served.

Rachel/Jem/Mayella/Scout went through a learning process.

Hornbeck/Boo acted as catalysts to bring out characters.

Both have an underdog changing the world and doing what is right. Cates breaks the law in order to teach his students. Boo kills Ewell and comes to the children's rescue.

Symbolism in titles: "To kill a mockingbird" is to do harm to something innocent. To "inherit the wind" is to cause unnecessary trouble.

The form of the play allowed for the focus to be on not one specific character, but on the situation itself. The form of the book allowed the focus of the book to be more on the characters, specifically Scout and her adventures.

If you think of more...TELL ME!

I love you allllllllll!
The coolest thing happened to me today. Well, cool to me. Other people might think I'm insane. But anyway, now I have absolutely no doubt that things happen for a reason.
On another, sadder note...I am gonna miss the Gr. 12s and OAC so darn much, it's unbelievable! I shall list them: Lise, Mike, Tara, Ivan, Robyn, Erin, Francis, Pawan, Christine, Nick, Brad, Kathy, Delwin (just because he's hot), Kelly...and a bunch of other people that I have momentarily forgotten! I love you alllllllll!

Wednesday, June 11, 2003-04:38 p.m.
Happy!
It's been a while. Well, not much has happened. Went to Arthur's for a project...twice...got wet...twice...was sad for a while because of an evil boy...did badly on some tests...and that's about it. Wow, my life sounds yucky. =D But I'm happy like always! Happy!

Sunday, June 1, 2003-09:19 p.m.
Omigawd!
Omigawd!!! Recital tomorrow!!!! So excited!! Yay to the people coming!! And to the people who aren't, as my father so eloquently put it: you're all losers. No, you're not..you're just silly geese. But the best part is: no dance ever again. EVAR. Well...till September...

Saturday, May 24, 2003-01:06 p.m.
Styoopid!
Yesterday was the Gilmore Girls Par-tay. The episode was styoopid!! Styoopid! Hardly ANY Dean, and Jess didn't even talk!!! But...Luke had a dream! =) Anyways, we watched some other good episodes and walked to Jon's house and played his drums and I couldn't and watched some of Drumline!
Also, something insignificant made my breath catch.
Ugh...tomorrow, I have five and a half hours of dance. Ew.

Friday, May 16, 2003-11:35 a.m.
Maybe, by some miralce, I'll do it later.
Well, hello again. I haven't entried in a while, as you can tell. Partly because I was at Queen's University for a week!!! That's right, yo!! Queen's University!!!!!! Booyah! That was one crazy week. Wow. Unfortunately, I'm kinda not in the mood to summarize it at the moment, so if you're absolutely dying to know what happened, visit Jess's blog!! Maybe, by some miracle, I'll do it later. =)
Whoa, guys!! We have PACE Radio, yo!! That's some crazy stuff! I wanna get a mike so I can DJ. People! Think of DJ names for me...
So anyway, I'm in the library now, risking my computer priviliges (or however you spell it) just to updat my blog. Kay, there's lotsa stuff I wanna post here, so I'mma do that at home! =)
Bye bye!

Saturday, May 3, 2003-08:18 p.m.
'Cause if,like, whatever?
Yes, Jessica, I stole that phrase from you. "Hottie hottie McHot Hot" is not my creation, but Jessica's. Because she is just the coolest. And I owe her everything. Ya happy now?!
Yesterday was Mall Day!! It included much walking to and from Paula's house, waiting for AY (grr...), dumplings, and too much time spent in UB. I hate you, UB, I hate you. After Scarborough Town Centre, Mom picked Sally, Paula, and I up and we went to Paula's aunt's restaurant. On the way, we received news that led us to believe that Danielle had maybe been killed. And to quote Sally, that would be bad because: "'Cause if, like, whatever? Then ya know, whatever. 'Cause...yeah." Hee hee...I love you Sally! ^_^ Then Sally, Mommy, and I went to Markville. Two malls in one day! Whoa! And we bought Queen's clothes...and Sally was my go-fer. XD
Queen's is tomorrow!!! YAY!!! I'm gonna miss y'all though!! Emmy, Bex, Arthur, Michelle, Erica, Aky, MoE, Nicole, DaniO, Joan, Bion, Timmy, Matt (you chicken), and others! All of you! Queen's!!!!!!

Tuesday, April 29, 2003-10:00 p.m.
I <3 everyone!
No no, Jessica, only that entry was to spite you. The other entries only have spiteful details. =D Don't worry, Jess, I <3 you.
Speaking of <3-ing, I LOVE DEAN. With every fibre of my being. That's right. I'm obsessed. I love you, Dean! I can't wait till Wednesday! Gilmore Girls Gilmore Girls Gilmore Girls!! *glee* MAKE NO INDICATION OF WHAT IS TO HAPPEN IN THE UPCOMING EPISODES. That is, if you want to keep your ears. Otherwise, I will gladly rip them off as punishment. Got it?! Good. =D
So absolutely nothing happened today. Um..except we had a paraliturgy in school and Biskup sat in-front-and-to-the-left of me. So just understand this: Hottie Hottie McHot Hot is sitting so close, I can touch him. This would be heaven, except for the fact there is no hand-shake-peace-thing because of SARS!!! *cries* But, I'll get over it. Eventually. I could have shook his hand!!!! Argh. But I have Arthur. I <3 you, Arthur! =D
And I <3 Mr. Hoffman. And Emmy. And QP. And Bex. And...lotsa people. But mostly Dean. Wow, this entry made no sense.
Queens! Yay! =D

Monday, April 28, 2003-09:56 p.m.
Come on...AY?!
So today was...yucky-ish. It just...was. For reasons that I am avoiding. Yeah, I avoid things. It's a bad habit of mine. Jessica was the first one of us to experience yuckiness. My turn came soon after and apparently, Sally had yucky-something something, I dunno.
Anyway, French started out alright with a movie. Then we skip the yuckiness and jump right to Civics, which Jess begged me to skip. But I held my ground, like the nerd I am, and went to class. ROOTS JEANS. That's right, I win. At lunch, Dani and I went to Jess's house and ate and wrote AY a disturbing email. Then we looked at our watches and realized that we had four minutes to get back to class. We ended up being ten minutes late and Hoffman couldn't have cared less. Cool. Science was uneventful.
Then the Luke meeting rolled around where we got free pizza (!) and drinks. Afterwards, Paula and I went to the weight room to find Johnson and Basim, which we did, as well as a shirtless Jules. Then I went to wait for my mom outside and talked with Johnson for a while.
Dance was funny...people fell a lot. Classic humour. And I talked with Emmy and Bex...XD And then...that's it.
I realized something today, though. There was an old Archie comic that I remember reading. Someone asked Reggie Mantle why he chased Veronica so much. He named her various attributes, and ended the list with a sinister "And she's unavailable!" I remember the panel depicted his hands wringing in anticipation, his mouth in an evil grin, and his eyes small and gleaming. At the time, it was just an Archie comic. But now, I understand where Reggie's coming from. Not like I wanna steal any of your boyfriends or anything...come on, AY?! Ha!

Sunday, April 27, 2003-12:31 p.m.
"Arthur's a nice boy."
Oh. My. Gosh. Oh my Gosh! Dani, your formal birthday par-tay rocked so hard. SO hard. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANI!! I still have to give you "The Toast I Meant to Give"...please remember how they all stole my phrases. It's important!
So PAR-TAY! So freaking cool! Kay, so first...at like 2:00...I decide to put on these silly fake nails that my mom bought me, thinking they would look nice. Yeah, NO! They didn't. So after a big kafuffle, Mom was slightly annoyed and the nails were off! The latter is all that matters. Then at 3:30, I arrived at Paula's so that she, Adeline, and I might aid in the prettying of each other. So first we wasted time for about...an hour, and then we started freaking out. First, Paula painted Adeline's toes while Adeline ironed her hair. Then me and Paula curled Paula's hair. Then Adeline and Paula curled my hair (apparently, it takes an hour and a half to curl my hair). Then Addie did her make-up, then mine, and then we all got dressed! By that time, it's 7:00. We were supposed to be there at 6:00. We weren't just late, we were fashionably late! Addie did Paula's make-up in the car (upside-down!), and then we arrived!!(with Mom close on our heels)
There were so many people! But not Bo-nee-ta...awwww...but Sam was there! I miss her!! She and I danced a lot and looked like nerds, being the only two on the dance floor...but it was fun! I almost forgot that I haven't seen her in so long. Speaking of dancing, there was a lot of it! The chicken dance was fun, as was the YMCA. We dragged guys there...especially Johnson and Chris. Johnson went willingly, but Chris (who is quite hot...) put up quite a fight. A fight that he most often lost. We tried to teach him to grind, but that failed miserably. Um...slow dances...me and Johnson won! All the time! We win!
Except now my mother thinks I'm in love with Johnson. On the way home, she was all "I know you like Johnson" and when I denied it, she just came right back with "Yes, you do!" Finally she dropped the subject when she realized that I wasn't going to agree with her, but then started right back again with "Arthur's a nice boy..." "I like Arthur..." "Arthur looked so nice..." "Try to like Arthur..." Sigh. Oh well...Arthur, ya know I love you! =)
Anyway, we got home at like 1:00am or so. It was so much fun! Tankee Dani! Your birthday par-tay was the coolest! Fo' shizzle!
Despite the funness of the day, I didn't talk to Emmy or Bex at all...=( I better talk to y'all today! LY4Eber! XD
And now, nose to the grindstone, CPT essay! w00t!

Friday, April 25, 2003-03:46 p.m.
So happy today!!
"I Am Not Yours"
by Sarah Teasdale

I am not yours, not lost in you,
Not lost, although I long to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the sea.

You love me, and I find you still
A spirit beautiful and bright,
Yet I am I, who long to be
Lost as a light is lost in light.

Oh plunge me deep in love -- put out
My senses, leave me deaf and blind,
Swept by the tempest of your love,
A taper in a rushing wind.

I very much like that poem. Many thanks to Jessica who introduced me to it, but I also curse you, Jess, for making me do my styoopid English project on Teasdale. That is, if I actually ever manage to do that CPT, ya know, what with there being no info on the woman.
Despite this project hanging over my head, I am intensely happy. And I...don't...know...why!!! The first test I should have studied for yesterday was the worst test in the world and I am positive that I did badly..for me. But the next test?! Oh. My. Gosh. SO easy. It was totally a joke! A funny one! I was skipping up to the teacher to ask her questions! I enjoyed the test. Like, whoa!
On another note, they played strange music over the PA today. Weeeeeird...and Hoffman continued to call me My-an-mar. Meh..I don't mind. He's too hot for me to mind.
Hm..tomorrow is Dani's formal birthday par-tay! I must go soon to do sit-ups to ensure my fitting into my dress. I refused free cake at school today...do you understand that?! FREE CAKE!! Just so I could fit into the dress. Speaking of the cake...happy 50th anniversary, DNA! Um, may you have many more...yeah...yeah...XD So yes, must go do sit-ups...but after I talk to Emmy! Yay!
Bye bye!

Thursday, April 24, 2003-10:58 p.m.
Yeah..
Yeah! So...it's 10:58pm. I have to wake up at 6:45 tomorrow morning. Tomorrow, I have two large tests that I have not yet studied for. I have an essay that was supposed to be done for yesterday that I have not yet begun. Well, Laura, you should really get to work! I know that's what you're thinking! And that's what I'm thinking too! And yet, here I am, mustering up all my HTML skills and fixing and beginning a blog. As you can tell, I didn't even follow through with that, as this is a template they offered me. Oh well. Here it is! Laura's new, improved blog!

And I vow to be myself this time.

Friday, April 4, 2003-03:17 p.m.

Today, I start a new blog. *tear* I'm just so happy!! Yay!!
